The A&R professionals provide Security and Enterprise Risk Management, Systems Security Engineering and Architecture, Security Policy, Planning and Compliance, Cyber Security Operations, Security and Mission Assurance Compliance and Certification, Security Management Infrastructure Development and Implementation, IT Infrastructure/Operational Resilience, Mission Assurance, and Security Program/Acquisition Management to a wide range of DoD and Civilian Agencies, as well as Commercial industry.
Ms. Givans is the Vice Chair of the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) International, a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. She has also served on the AFCEA Building Service Corporation and the AFCEA Educational Foundation. Ms. Givans was a member of the System Security Engineering Capability Maturity Model (SSE-CMM) project; a project ensuring that security is integrated into all acquisition and systems development lifecycles from their conception. She is a former member of the board of directors and outreach working group for the International Systems Security Engineering Association (ISSEA), an organization she co-founded on behalf of Booz Allen. ISSEA developed SSE-CMM and obtained its approval as an ISO standard (21827).
Ms. Givans has presented at numerous industry conferences, including NISSC, MILCOM, and the Mission Assurance Summit. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Alumni Association, and the Society of Women Engineers Corporate Partnership Council.
With an M.S. in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Ms. Givans also holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
