Fairfax, VA - TechNet Tampa 2007 will focus on “Investing in Coalition and Interagency Partnership: Meeting the Next Threat” at the Tampa, FL Convention Center March 13-14, 2007.

 

AFCEA International and the AFCEA Tampa-St. Petersburg Chapter have put together a comprehensive schedule of featured speakers, panel sessions, professional development seminars, and exhibits at this 2-day event. Registration for TechNet Tampa seminars, panel sessions, and exhibits is free; tickets are required for meals. Providing the military perspective on partnering to meet the next threat will be four featured speakers: The Honorable John Grimes, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration and Department of Defense Chief Information Officer; VADM Eric Olson, USN, Deputy Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command; BG Nolen Bivens, USA, Chief of Staff, U.S. Southern Command; and VADM David Nichols, Jr., USN, Deputy Commander, U.S. Central Command (invited). The conference will also feature three panel sessions: Shaping Future Victories Through Information Sharing, moderated by VADM Nancy Brown, USN, Director of Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (J-6), The Joint Staff; Transnational Influences – Winning a War Without Borders, moderated by Col Sean Patrick, USAF, Deputy Director, Center for Networks and Communication, U.S. Special Operations Command; and Enabling Synchronized Multinational Operations, moderated by BG Susan Lawrence, USA, Director, J6, U.S. Central Command.

 

The conference will also feature four professional development seminars: Real-Time Spectrum Analysis/Frequency Deconfliction; Cross Domain Solutions of the Future: Web Enabled Guards; Socio-Cultural Intelligence in COINS; and Intelligence Analysis: Predict, Forecast, Anticipate, and Project. Led by industry experts, these sessions will provide attendees with a deeper look at issues involved in the war on terrorism. In addition, a Small Business Workshop and Forecast to Industry will focus on industry’s involvement in the war on terror and their support of local Tampa military commands.
