Chapter Initiative Grants - International

The AFCEA Educational Foundation Chapter Initiatives Grant Program was inaugurated in FY97 with funding provided for five chapter proposals.  To date, the Foundation has awarded $45,495 to ten international chapters as follows:

The Foundation solicits proposals from ANY AFCEA Chapter for projects which deserve support and which may be expanded to Association-wide programs.  These Initiative Grants are intended to fund projects planned in addition to an existing chapter educational or scholarship program.

Factors used in judging the comparative worth of the proposals are:

• Impact
• Enduring quality
• Target audience(s)
• Chapter participation (financial and personnel)
• Relationship to AFCEA's field of endeavor

The Board of Directors encourages chapters to include a plan for matching the funds provided by the Foundation for these Initiatives projects.

Proposal submission deadline is December 1 each year.  Please provide in any convenient format an outline of the project, including background information according to the comparative factors listed above. Be sure to indicate the dollar amount requested as well as chapter funds contributed.

Proposals are considered at the Educational Foundation's Board of Director's meeting held in February each year.
