GNEC Army Active Directory/ Exchange and Identity Management

By direction of the Chief of Staff of the Army and CIO/G6, the objective is to consolidate the Army's AD Forest and Directory Service environment to support and provide services to the Warfighter operational, generating forces and the Joint Department of Defense community within both NIPR and SIPRNET's. The purpose of this session is to provide stakeholders information on the Global Network Enterprise Construct (GNEC), Active Directory, Exchange, Identity Management, Policy Guidance, Design and Implementation Timeline for the Global Operational Environment. This session will address the plan for implementing and migrating to a single Army Enterprise AD Forest in support of the GNEC. We will discuss the requirements, processes, and responsibilities for successful transition from the current decentralized multi-forest environment to the GNEC standardized AD structures based on Windows Server 2008. At the completion of this session you will be provided information on the GNEC AD/Exchange and Identity Management implementing strategy, the timeline for implementing these solutions, significant milestones, what you can do to get ready, migration approach, and identification of required resources. |
