Dr. Littlefield will provide insights into how industry can better communicate its capabilities to meet NGA needs.  Also included will be an overview of NGA’s philosophical approach to contracting, RFPs, proposals, evaluations, etc. that may help industry better respond to formal documentation issued by NGA.  Attendees will come away with a better understanding of NGA’s contracting plans, issues and views as they relate to such topics as IDIQ vehicles, contract types and support to Contracting Officers.

Focus Questions:

  1. Have there been changes in contracting philosophy and approaches over past 12 months?  Can we expect changes in the future? How can industry partners better understand NGA’s philosophy of “best value”?
  2. What RFPs can we expect to hit the streets in the next one to three years? To deliver what capability?
  3. In general, what will the associated funding profile look like?
  4. How will the new Commercial Remote Sensing Program Office operate with regards to the next generation of commercial satellites, commercial airborne data procurement and data acquisition from commercial imagery satellites?
